The main benefits are that IPSs, before delivery the service to the EPS's patients, can check for the authorization given to deliver the medical treatment, this authorization guarded by a neutral entity (CAT). This authorization obliges the payment of the medical treatment in the agreed terms.

The communication between EPS, CTA and IPS are electronic communications. The invoices and its contents (treatments each with its authorization reference) are in electronic form to avoid paper and manual verifications
